Trinidad, A Must Visit in Cuba
If you ever reach Cuba for holiday, you must not miss Trinidad. Founded in 1514, it was a haven for smugglers until the 18th century. However, everything changed in the early 19th century and today, you get the historical and beautiful land of Trinidad, Cuba. There are many historical landmarks, after all, Trinidad is one of the most historical places in Cuba. Get a picture of you and the Casa de los Martires de Trinidad monument that is located at the town center as a souvenir. This monument is built to honour the 72 Trinidad residents who died in a battle against Batista.
Another must visit place is the Museo Historico Municipal. This should be interesting for fans of history. Originally the museum building was a mansion owned by the Borrell family from 1837 until 1830. If you are more into the history of architecture, you should visit Museo De Arquitectura Trinitaria. It showcases the upper-class domestic architecture between 18th and 19th centuries. At these two museums, you will be able to learn in depth about the history of Trinidad and the history of the architecture. I would suggest you to stay in Trinidad at least for one night to truly visit more of the interesting places and besides it is easy to book for rooms at any of the Cuba hotels.
